Why should I transfer my domain name to VP?
To save money! If you registered your .com, .net, or .org domain at Network Solutions, each time you renew your domain name you pay $35 per year, but Visual Presence only charges $14.95 per year, so transferring to VP will save you nearly 60% each year. To "Transfer" a domain is basically to "Renew" a domain with a different Registrar.

How much does it cost to transfer my domain name to VP?
When you transfer a domain name you are extending the registration period for the length you specify in the form above. If you choose "1 year", your domain registration will be extended 1 year beyond it's current expiration date for $14.95 (for .com, .net, and .org domains). VP does not charge any fees for transferring your domain, you are simply extending your registration period at $14.95 per year.

When can I transfer my domain name to VP?
You must submit your Domain Transfer Request more than 30 days before the renewal date with your current Registrar.

How can I speed up the Transfer Process?
Before submitting the Domain Transfer Request above, verify that the Administrative Contact Email Address on file at your current Registrar, is correct. After you submit this form, an email which authorizes the transfer will be sent to the Administrative Contact. Once you reply to that email the transfer process will begin.

Can I transfer a domain that has expired at another registrar?
Registrars do not allow domain name transfers if the domain name has expired. If your domain name has expired and you would like to keep it, you should renew the domain as soon as possible with the current registrar. It is not recommended to wait until the domain name is dropped by the current registrar in order to have us register the domain. If you do wait for a domain name to be dropped, VP cannot assure you that we will be able to register it as many registrars have waiting lists.
